Apple has released an update to OS X for Macs with a few nifty tweaks and fixes, but the most important addition is that you can now load up Boot Camp with Windows 8. That’s right – Windows 8 on your MacBook, if you so desire!
Hitting the Mac App Store updates section will prompt you with a system update taking you to 10.8.3 which comes with a few changes, but Boot Camp takes the prize for the most notable new addition. The tool lets you run Microsoft’s Windows operating systems on a partition on your Mac’s hard drive, and now Windows 8 has been added to that list.
This marks a great chance for those who want to take advantage of Windows 8 software while still using their trusty Apple hardware, and it even makes the recipe for the ultimate Ultrabook. A MacBook Air with Windows 8, anyone? Now all we need is a touchscreen.
Will you be booting up Windows 8 on your Mac, or are you still trucking on with OS X? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
